NDDOT Hiring Salary: $12346 / month

Division Administration:

Provide strategic and operational planning as required.
Develop and oversee budget items as required for meeting the fiscal requirements of the divisions and departments mission and provide recommendations for District allocation of maintenance budget items.
Provide oversight management and long-range planning for major programs within the department relating to the maintenance areas of focus.
Manage and Lead Division Staff:

Develop and implement training programs on a statewide basis.
Provide oversight and coordination of division workload.
Provide staff evaluations both on cyclic basis and as required in special situations.
Emergency Coordination:

Act as the incident commander for all state agencies for transportation emergencies.
Provide planning coordination and response for NDDOT to DES emergencies.
Coordinate State ER program with FHWA and FEMA Reimbursement program.
May be required to work after hours and on weekends.
Department Risk Management member and liaison with OMB Risk Management:

Participate in Risk Management meetings and review incident reports.
Provide policy and procedure guidance to Management as a result of Risk Management actions.
Oversee the management of the departments CDL Drug and Alcohol Program.
Functional Coordinator for Department Transport Policy:

Liaison to Highway Patrol and FHWA for Truck Oversize Overweight (OSOW) regulations for NDDOT.
Coordinate legislative activities on truck legislation for department.
Act as liaison to trucking industry on Transport issues and manage 129000 Large Truck Network program.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires registration as a professional engineer in North Dakota within 6 months and five years of transportation engineering experience which included responsibility for management of staff and administration of a major engineering function.

Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process a criminal history record check and satisfactory reference check.
