Senior Childrens Residential Care Worker

Salary: Up to 32400 (Including Sleep Ins Allowance)

Full-Time Hours Sleep Ins

If you are motivated by the opportunity to support children and young people through stability structure and consistent care this Senior Residential Care Worker role offers the chance to do exactly that within a supportive residential setting.

As a Senior Residential Care Worker you will play a key role in day-to-day care helping children and young people with routines emotional needs and behavioural challenges while supporting their wider development. Alongside this you will act as a keyworker take responsibility for leading shifts when required and contribute to care planning and team discussions that shape individual outcomes.

What Were Looking For

  • Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children and young people particularly supporting challenging behaviour.
  • Competence to lead shifts and provide guidance to other staff when needed.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding policies procedures and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to supporting the development and wellbeing of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people including those with challenging behaviours.
  • Act as a keyworker supporting individual care plans and maintaining accurate records.
  • Lead shifts when required ensuring smooth running of the home and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Attend monthly supervision staff meetings and external meetings as required.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures ensuring the welfare and safety of all children.
  • Support the development and wellbeing of children through positive relationships and structured activities.
  • Contribute to team discussions sharing insights and ideas to improve care quality.
