Finnegan Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner LLP a global leader in intellectual property law is seeking a Director of AI toadvance its enterprise AI strategy. This role focuses on translating AI capabilities into practicalapplications that improve law practice workflows client delivery and firm operations.

The Director of AI will shape and operationalize the firmsAI roadmap prioritizing where AI drives measurable value and ensuring solutions move from conception to adoption.

The role in action:

• Bring structure and discipline to how AI is prioritized deployed and scaled across the firm
  
• Identify and advance high-value use cases moving initiatives from experimentation to production-ready adoption
  
• Lead build-versus-buy decisions and manage external vendors to ensure alignment with firm strategy
  
• Define and track performance through KPI frameworks and ROI models tying AI investment to measurable business outcomes
  

We are seeking candidateswho:

• Brings significant experience leading AI or legal technology initiatives within professional services with a track record of delivering solutions that improve how work gets done
  
• Has translated AI capabilities into real applications across law practice workflows moving beyond pilots to adoption
  
• Understands the current AI landscape tools models and platforms and can evaluate and apply them without needing to operate as a hands-on builder
  
• Measures outcomes in business terms with experience defining KPIs tied to efficiency cost productivity or client impact
  
• Possess an advanced degree in Computer Science AI Data Science or related field; J.D or an AmLaw 100/200 background a plus
