Technology Group
We experiment design and lead a 247 global business where we support core capabilities in asset management trading investment operations and risk management. We deliver secure reliable and integrated solutions and provide insights on new and emerging technologies.

Enterprise and Data Technology
Enterprise & Data Technology builds and advances the technology that underpins our enterprise and data capabilities. It brings together our core technology and data experts to design and deliver platforms for integration analytics and innovation. By combining these strengths into one coordinated group we create seamless solutions that connect systems improve data accessibility and leverage AI at the platform level to enable smarter decision-making. What impact can you make in this role
You will be empowered to be at the top of your game by providing technical contributions to achieve data-driven outcomes to power critical investment data & analytics in GICs vision of being a tech-driven global long-term investment firm.

What will you do as a Platform Engineer

Be part of an ambitious team that provides data platforms for enterprise activities. You can make a difference in our forward-looking journey to shape our world of investments.

• Design implement and maintain data platforms that enables development and deployment of data related use cases
• Monitor optimise and ensure high availability and performance of data platforms
• Implement best practices for access control data protection and compliance with organisational standards
• Adopt automation to improve productivity and reduce operational risks
• Collaborate with diverse teams to design and implement data architectures that simplify complex business problems

What makes you a successful candidate

Join us if you have a passion for data and want to be part of a team in building and developing GICs data foundation and infrastructure.

• 6 or more years of extensive experience in Technical Solutions Architecture
• Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) across
  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Strong understanding of cloud services architecture security and networking
• Strong understanding of platform best practices including but not limited to observability security reliability and cost optimisation
• Experience in both leading and hands-on development of projects using Databricks or similar platforms to build scalable and high-performance data use cases
• Experience with tools and technologies including but not limited to Amazon EKS GitHub Terraform and Python
• Experience in highly regulated enterprises with a focus on security and compliance controls
• A passion for solving complex problems and driving engineering excellence
• Ability to troubleshoot platform issues across cloud and on-premise environments
