Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: patient assessment of new admissions routine patient assessment in the ICU and the assessment of patients experiencing a change in clinical status; admission history and physicals; complete appropriate chart documentation to include orders progress notes procedures outcomes and plan of care; ordering and reviewing of diagnostic radiographic and laboratory tests; medication management; mechanical ventilation management; assisting performing and supervising invasive procedures; and participating in multidisciplinary rounds with the critical care team.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
2. Successful completion of an accredited Masters of Science in Nursing Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program OR Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
3. Current critical care certification by an approved certifying organization (i.e. National Certification Board of PNP National Certification National Certification Corporation American Nurses Credentialing Center) OR Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
4. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
PREFERRED:
1. One (1) year experience
