About the role
We are looking for a Finance Specialist to join our Accounts Payable team. This role will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of accurate and timely invoice processing and grants payments for our clients particularly as we onboard additional customers and manage increasing service complexity.

What its like to work in the Finance Services team
We are a wellestablished finance shared services team with a supportive and collaborative culture entering a period of growth and transformation. Our teams deliver highquality financial transaction processing and specialist finance support on behalf of government clients from invoice processing through to audit support.

Our team is made up of a variety of professional backgrounds and experience levels. We offer hybrid working with flexibility around fulltime or parttime hours and core working hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Colleagues can be based in Swindon Newport or StocktononTees depending on what works best for them and the business.

The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

• Act as a subject matter expert within Accounts Payable supporting colleagues and resolving complex queries
• Manage complex invoice uploads including grants and critical payments
• Analyse system data to resolve escalated and complex queries
• Oversee and monitor team workloads in the absence of the Team Manager
• Support monitoring of SLAs and KPIs ensuring corrective actions are taken where required
• Act as a key liaison with clients and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement and process review activities
  

To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:

• Extensive experience and knowledge within the Purchase to Pay workstream
• Good knowledge of SaaS solutions such as Oracle Workday or SAP
• High attention to detail ensuring accuracy of data processes and documentation
• Proactive problem-solving approach with a clear focus on delivery
• Good Microsoft Office skills including Outlook and Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build strong stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrates UKSBS core values and behaviours
• Experience in a shared service or customerfocused environment and a finance qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.
