Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care in a Med Surg/Telemetry environment with a strong focus on orthopedic patients. This role requires flexibility to float across units and deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med Surg Telemetry and Orthopedic patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alerts.
- Administer medications treatments and IV therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems.
- Serve in a charge nurse capacity when required.
- Float to other units as needed within scope and competency.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
- Full-time schedule (3 shifts per week)
- Floating required based on facility needs
- Acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience in a large healthcare facility
- Strong orthopedic (Ortho) experience required
- Charge nurse experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic Systems
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Ability to pass EKG competency/assessment
