Job Summary
SummaryTheIVA Technician IIIis responsible for advanced pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly including setting stops limit switches positioner setup solenoid tubing and testing. This role requires prior automated valve assembly experience proficiency in mechanical skills and a solid understanding of industry standards and codes. The technician will handle complex assembly tasks troubleshoot issues and ensure quality and safety -level pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly (including tubing)setting stops setting limit switches positioner setup solenoid tubing electric actuator valve assemblysetting torque limit switches and testing. The IVA Technician III will handle the most complex assembly tasks advanced troubleshooting and lead projects to improve assembly processes and Requirements & QualificationsEducation & ExperienceExtensive automated valve assembly experienceHigh School Diploma or GED and at least 6 years industry experienceSkills & AbilitiesMeets all Technician II qualifications and requirements outlined in the job descriptionSuccessful completion of Automated Valve Assembly Level III Written and Performance TestSuccessful completion of required training outlined in the technician certification programSuccessful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresMastery of valve assembly according to company standardsDemonstrated proficiency in lapping testing applicable codes and standardsAdvanced mechanical skills mathematical skills and ability to use measurement equipmentFamiliar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valveDemonstrated proficiency in automated valve assembly testing applicable codes and standardsAdvanced understanding of the importance of air supply pressureAdvanced understanding of input signals (3-15# and 4-20 mA)Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC only if required)Strong oral & written communication skillsAbility to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the company and demonstrate understanding of the field job processDemonstrate can do attitude and excellent customer service skillsFollow Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve assembly and testing processRecognition of missing partsMastery of valve repair according to company standardsAdvanced knowledge of various shop equipment (test stand machining equipment etc.)Minimal supervision requiredAbility to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelinesMust clear background check and drug/alcohol screeningEssential Physical Functions:Lifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directionsLift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending stooping walking and climbing stairsAscending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding rampsMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesRemaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationRepeating motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingersOperating machinery and/or power toolsOperating motor vehicles or heavy equipmentAssessing the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assignedAble to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standardsRequired physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirementsAble to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
