How youll contribute
An Admission Supervisor who excels in this role:

  • Supervises daily staff activities within assigned functional area.
  • Performs all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Determines coordinates and oversees daily staffing assignments and coverage levels.
  • Provides leadership orientation training coaching and mentoring; conducts or supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitors quality of services and supports staff development initiatives; ensures compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
  • Assists with frontline responsibilities as needed to maintain service levels.
  • Leads resolution of complex operational issues and escalated concerns.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Serves internal team members and external stakeholders including patients clients contractors and vendors.
  • Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g. HIPAA) business office standards and best practices..


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work. May set priorities schedule and review work but have no responsibility to hire terminate review performance and/or make pay decisions.

What were looking for

Education:

  • Associates Degree in related field preferred
  • Applicable work experience (3-5 years in a supervisor healthcare role/capacity) may be used in lieu of education

Skills & Experience:

  • Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail word processing data entry spreadsheets graphics etc. Ability to create maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents spreadsheets databases and presentations to support business objectives.
  • Moderate Communication -- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
  • Routine Business Problems -- Problems encountered are routine somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Job Specific Impact -- Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
  • Moderate Independent Judgement -- Results are defined; sets personal goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Moderate Planning/Organization -- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously with moderate complexity.
