Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This role involves assisting physicians operating imaging equipment and supporting invasive procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform ultrasound imaging and assist with interventional procedures
Assist physicians during procedures including scrubbing circulating and monitoring patient status
Operate imaging and interventional equipment according to protocols
Monitor and document patient condition during procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile fields trays and equipment
Assist with administration of contrast media as required
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper positioning during procedures
Educate patients about procedures and address concerns to reduce anxiety
Transfer patients safely between equipment stretchers and wheelchairs
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Perform routine equipment checks cleaning and preventive maintenance
Manage inventory and ensure availability of supplies
Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
ARDMS certification (or equivalent) required
Active state licensure (if applicable) required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience preferred
Strong knowledge of imaging procedures and patient care practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
