Maintenance Technician Experienced
Location: BedfordPA
Shift: 1st shift Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:00PM
Shift Premium eligible 2 weeks PTO Subsidized healthcare starts day 1
Purpose of the position:
Perform predictive/preventive maintenance analysis to anticipate and circumvent equipment failures enhancing uptime and reducing costs
Knowledge and experience:
- High School diploma or GED;
- Preferred Bachelors degree with focus in Electrical or Controls Engineering;
- 5-10yrs years experience preferred as CNC Maintenance Technician;
- Knowledge of plumbing pipefitting pneumatics hydraulics bearings seals and electric motors and controls;
- Preferred knowledge SAP-PM and Step 7;
- Knowledge and ability of rigging equipment and components.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Has full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures (or deep skills in a single area) through job-related training and considerable work experience;
- Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience;
- Typically has specialized external certification;
- Guides and supports junior team members; may assist in their formal orientation and training;
- May have specialized external certification;
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g. mechanical electrical);
- Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability capability and yield;
- Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance);
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems;
- Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures;
- Prepare for new/relocated equipment installations by sizing wiring piping ventilation etc. according to incoming equipment requirements;
- Receive rig unload transport install assemble troubleshoot and fine tune new/relocated equipment;
- Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on existing equipment;
- Assist engineers in identifying worn or damaged parts that may be needed to complete the repair;
- Interface with and assist outside contractors OEMs and Technology Process Support groups in all attempts to install new and repair or upgrade existing processes;
- Safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous wastes;
- Interface with in-plant Computerized Machine Maintenance System to show status of work and time spent on job.
