Director of Finance

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead financial operations for a foundation supporting a major hospital system. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity regulatory compliance and operational excellence while driving continuous improvement across financial processes.

The ideal candidate brings strong financial expertise proven leadership experience and a background in healthcare and/or nonprofit organizations. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting initiatives that advance patient care and community health.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and direction for all financial operations of the foundation

• Ensure full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations

• Act as a key liaison between the foundation and the affiliated hospital system

• Evaluate and improve workflows job design and financial processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

• Monitor industry trends and implement best practices into financial operations

• Develop implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with legal and accreditation standards

• Lead the development and management of annual budgets aligned with organizational goals

• Establish implement and evaluate annual departmental goals and objectives

• Oversee staff management including hiring training scheduling coaching and performance evaluations

• Foster a positive work environment that supports employee engagement and professional development

• Provide guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary actions when necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field required (Masters preferred)

• Proven leadership experience in finance preferably within healthcare or nonprofit environments

• Strong knowledge of financial management budgeting and regulatory compliance

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive process improvements

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
