The Print Tool Tech is accountable for all tasks/duties described in this job description as well as other assignments as directed by the Prepress Graphics Manager Lead and/or Plant Manager. The Print Tool Tech sets the foundation for successful printing production. They ensure that the proper tools are available when the press needs them or provide timely communication with production to minimize work at MCC:Compensation:$19.50 hourly $2.00 shift differentialGenerous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day plus two floating HolidaysResponsibilities:Regular and predictable attendance including logging in and out of time workedComplies with all company and safety policies and proceduresMake flexographic/litho platesMake Rotary ScreensResponsible for the critical evaluation of all plates/screens made and completes appropriate QA checklistsResponsible for maintaining Plate and Screen Tracking LogsVerifies information on the Plate Envelope is correctResponsible for cleaning and maintaining the platemaking room/screen room and equipmentResponsible for completing preventive maintenance in accordance with the set schedule and needsCoordinates plate priorities with Scheduling Graphics Coordinator or Graphics SupervisorMaintains PPMS and PSA schedules to understand priorities and mark completion of jobs or flagsParticipate in continuous improvement / Kaizen teamsAttends department meetings and internal training classesParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assignedQualifications:HS Diploma or GED is required; College degree strongly preferred ideally related to the printing industryPrint manufacturing experience preferredTechnical expertise in flexo rotary screen and general printing processesExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasksKnowledge of color separations press layouts and print specificationsProficiency in MS Office applicationsRadius job management software experience is a plusAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with strong organizational and planning skillsRequires physical ability to climb stairs bend sit stand walk reach with arms push pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time framesMust have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly. Includes the ability to stoop squat crawll and kneel as neededMust be able to train on 1st shift#YORKIND
