Job Summary

Job Description

A licensedMastersdegree level professional who provides behavioral emergency level health assessments in collaboration with a medical team of physicians and registered nurses. Highly trained behavioral health professional whodemonstratesautonomy and critical thinking skills and consultation in handling emergent psychiatric crises. Collaborates with members ofhealthcare team indevelopmentof a transition plan and addresses needsin a timely manner. Participates in program planning and development to meet the needs of customers within the health care system and community. Provides patient and family education. The QMHP / Social Work team in the ED are consulted on patients with a positive mental health historyin order toprovide needed mental and behavioral health services and follow up in addition to the consults requestingassistancewith the three social determinants of healthidentifiedby the ED triage process. This Social Worker will answer consults on patients being evaluated in the Emergency Department

Missouri LMSW LCSW or LPC - State of Missouri
