Position Overview |
Maintenance repair and support of computer hardware and software systems. This role serves as a go-to position for end-point management and technical support within the school district. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) |
- Hardware Maintenance & Repair: Install upgrade and repair physical components such as motherboards CPUs RAM hard drives and power supplies. Set up and maintain Chromebooks & iPads
- Software & OS Support: Install and configure operating systems (Windows macOS Linux) and troubleshoot common application errors or bugs.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems for end-users regarding connectivity printer issues or system crashes
- User Training & Documentation: Help end-users understand how to use new technology and maintain detailed records of repairs and system changes in ticketing systems
- Integrate and operate equipment such as smart boards projectors printers and scanners
Enforces the Schools network security and installation procedures. Other duties as assigned. |

Physical Requirements & Safety
- Weight Requirements: Job often requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Physical Motions: Tasks involve frequent squatting kneeling bending at waist climbing ladders and reaching
- Support Tools: Use of flatbeds handcarts and pallet jacks for moving heavy equipment

Minimum Qualifications (Candidates Must Meet All Minimum Qualifications to be Considered) |
Education | An associates degree with at least two years of coursework in computer sciences - CompTIA Tech Certification
|
Experience | Current experience providing technical desktop and network support in a large multiplatform and multi-operating systems environment. |
Computer Skills | Demonstrated skills implementing local area networks using multi operating systems and platforms including knowledge of networking theory principles and practices. Specific knowledge of the TCP/IP Protocol VLANs WLANs VoIP SonicWall Firewall Appliances Cisco WAPs and Windows Server. |

Desirable Qualifications |
Education | A bachelors degree or higher in a computer sciences related field. |
Experience | Previous technical support of Macintosh and Windows computers. |

Physical Demands | Work Environment |
Must be able to perform physical activities such as but not limited to lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) bending standing climbing or walking. | Normal office environment with frequent exposure to working in confined spaces and occasional exposure to working outdoors. Moderate noise level. |
