Following the decision of our Headteacher to step down and retire in 2026 the Governors at St Johns Church of England Primary School are seeking to recruit a new Headteacher to lead our successful and thriving school at the heart of its community.
We are looking for an exceptional Headteacher who:
Will continue to develop the schools strong Christian values and ethos and high academic standards.
Is an enthusiastic and inspirational leader who can build on our strengths and achievements and continue to take the school forward through a collective vision.
Has a passion for primary education and is committed to ensure that all children are given the best opportunity to enjoy and succeed at school.
Is someone who can bring a sense of fun energy and passion for learning and undertake all aspects of the role with warmth and good humour.
Values staff governors and parents in a collective partnership to lead and inspire the children and provide a secure foundation for their lives ahead.
St Johns is a one form entry primary school which has been oversubscribed for the past two years. The school received good outcomes in both the Ofsted and SIAMS inspections in 2025. There is a healthy relationship with St John the Evangelist Church next door. Parents and pupils place a high importance on the Christian ethos which is evident in the school.
