As a Security Officer Access Control Lead in Portsmouth VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel visitors and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures credential verification steps and security-related policies at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor entry and exit points screen authorized individuals and/or vehicles maintain visitor logs and report access irregularities or security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following post orders and emergency response protocols for restricted and controlled areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter observing for unusual activity unsecured access points and/or conditions that could impact operations.
• Support security-related documentation and communication by preparing clear incident reports documenting daily activities and relaying important information during shift changes and to Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
