Senior Director-Operations Project Management
Title: Senior Director-Operations Project Management
Schedule: Regular Full-time
Reports to: Executive Vice President / Chief Operations Officer
Ministry Function:
The Senior Director-Operations Project Management supports the ministry of Evangel University (EU) by working closely with multiple teams to build systems/procedures and strategies allowing EU to scale into the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Chief Operations Officer (COO) to initially hire and secure new Marketing Director. Re-structure and build a campus wide Marketing Department.
- Create a new Administration area that would house services not limited to but including front desk reception; tours and hosting; guest ticket systems/services; mail; coffee bar.
- Work with COO in managing and scaling Bursars area.
- Engage with Conference Services and Events to enhance delivery and service systems for internal/external programs; look to implement with front desk involving hosting/tours and guest tickets.
- Collaborate with COO to help Human Resource area increase benefits training and other employee services.
- Partner with Information Technology and current Coach to implement ERP; investigate needed add-ons; discover future IT needs such as AI though CPU/GPU/TPU/QPU lanes as examples.
- Help COO work with Facilities to re-structure department; plan and communicate Campus project needs.
- Partner with Campus contractor under COO with new Construction Projects.
- Help COO as needed in the area of Finance. Information gathering and preparation for financial reporting and implementation.
- Work with COO involving financial aid needs and reporting.
- Partner with Enrollment services to provide best recruiting and marketing plans under new aid vision.
- Help understand and plan new/improved ways for Campus Security to work and scale needed services and protection. (Currently under Student Affairs)
- Work with COO to ensure program conformity ensuring budgets dollars are spent to maximum capacity.
- Build systems/policies/procedures and strategies organization wide to scale EU into the future.
- Work as meeting representative for COO when appropriate and needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelors degree preferred High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to share the vision of EU while motivating donors/government officials to action.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Ability to create playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to present and implement strong policies and procedures within a variety of areas.
- Ability to represent COO in a variety of settings protecting unity and creating synergies.
- Well-rounded interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with a variety of constituencies.
- Strong organization skills ability to be detail oriented and follow through.
- Ability to use a PC or Mac software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
- Attends and actively participates in EU meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Serve as an advocate for the ministry striving to nurture broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
- Ability to positively represent the ministry of EU including its mission statement and core values to all outside constituencies.
- As a Christian organization EU believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organizations religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
