We provide program management civil engineering morale welfare and recreation support among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
The USAF Cook prepares and produces meals in a United States Air Force Dining Facility (DFAC) ensuring high standards of quality taste and presentation. This role provides guidance and training during meal preparation and service. The Cook monitors food safety sanitation and portion control to maintain compliance with Air Force regulations. They assist with menu planning inventory management and coordinating kitchen operations to meet operational requirements. Additionally the Cook ensures efficient workflow resolves kitchen issues and supports a professional team-oriented dining environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Complete delegation of tasks at the beginning of the shift
Prepare meals progressively based on the daily production log checking food temperatures regularly
Document food production and discarded food on the daily production log; notify supervisor of discarded items
Prepare short order items if required; always check food temperatures
Adhere to all Safety Hygiene and Sanitation Standards
Wear a clean uniform and pertinent personal protective equipment
Must work shifts
Basic Qualifications
Food Handlers Certificate
High School Diploma
Minimum of two years experience in a restaurant or food production atmosphere
English level 1
Preferred Qualifications
Read write and speak English level II
Computer skills
Experience serving preparing meals in a military environment
Experience working in groups/teams
