As a CAD Technician you will play a key role in producing highquality drawings for Balmorals range of tank products. Using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD you will work closely with internal teams and customers to develop practical costeffective design solutions that meet both technical and commercial requirements.
This is a varied handson role with daily client interaction and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
What youll be doing
Produce general arrangement (GA) production detail and installation drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
Develop project solutions and drawings in collaboration with customers ensuring requirements and budgets are met
Provide clear and accurate drawings and specifications to support contracts projects and production teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality
Ensure drawings are delivered to agreed deadlines proactively flagging any potential delays
Operate in line with company H&S procedures and policies at all times
Monitor and advise on project budget utilisation
Accurately record project time and input using timesheets
What were looking for
Qualifications (Required):
ALevels HNC HND or equivalent in an Engineering or Design discipline
Knowledge of 2D and 3D modelling and drawing software
Qualifications (Desirable):
Degree in Engineering or Design
Experience using Autodesk Inventor and Vault
Knowledge of draughting standards such as BS8888
Familiarity with sectional or modular storage tanks
At least 2 years CAD experience (experience gained through education is acceptable)
Manufacturing or fabrication environment experience is desirable
Reliable flexible and able to meet deadlines
Comfortable working in an environment where accountability and ownership matter
Willing to challenge behaviours that conflict with Balmorals core values
Positive adaptable and keen to be part of a growing and successful team
