Duration: Contract
Location: 3 days onsite Bridgewater NJ
We are seeking a Project Manager within the Information Security organization to lead planning and execution of complex cybersecurity initiatives across domains such as Identity & Access Management Vulnerability Management Data Protection Cloud Security Security Operations and Risk & Compliance.
This role requires a strong project planning leader with expertise in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development delivery process execution and stakeholder influence across matrixed environments. The ideal candidate translates security strategy into structured execution roadmaps and drives predictable delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Delivery Leadership:
Develop comprehensive project plans aligned to cybersecurity program objectives
Build and maintain detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) across security initiatives
Define:
o scope
o milestones
o dependencies
o resource needs
o timelines
o critical paths
Lead project lifecycle activities from initiation through execution and closure
Translate security strategies into executable implementation plans
Support roadmap development for multi-phase cybersecurity initiatives
Coordinate delivery sequencing across security infrastructure application and business teams
Maintain integrated master schedules across interdependent initiatives
Program Execution & Coordination:
Manage multiple concurrent cybersecurity initiatives
Drive accountability across technical and functional teams
Track deliverables against milestones and adjust plans as needed
Identify and manage cross-project dependencies
Support prioritization across competing security initiatives
Ensure alignment with enterprise security transformation objectives
Process & Governance Leadership:
Establish repeatable delivery frameworks across security initiatives
Maintain project governance artifacts including:
o RAID logs
o decision logs
o dependency tracking
o milestone tracking
o executive status dashboards
Facilitate program steering committee and leadership updates
Ensure alignment with enterprise PMO standards and security operating models
Support audit and regulatory readiness where initiatives intersect with compliance requirements
Stakeholder Influence & Communication:
Partner with leaders across:
o CISO organization
o Security Architecture
o Identity & Access Management
o Vulnerability Management
o Security Operations
o Risk & Compliance
o Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering teams
Influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority
Translate technical security initiatives into business-aligned delivery plans
Provide executive-level visibility into:
o delivery progress
o risks
o dependencies
o resource needs
Facilitate alignment across technical and business stakeholders
Risk & Dependency Management:
Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Maintain dependency mapping across security initiatives
Escalate blockers appropriately and proactively
Support risk-reduction tracking tied to cybersecurity program outcomes
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience managing technology or cybersecurity projects
Demonstrated strength in project planning and execution within complex enterprise environments
Advanced experience building and managing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
Experience managing integrated project schedules and cross-team dependencies
Strong process orientation and governance execution experience
Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
Experience coordinating across infrastructure application and security teams
Strong written and executive-level communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting initiatives within:
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Vulnerability Management programs
Zero Trust transformation initiatives
Cloud security deployments
Data protection / DLP implementations
Security governance and compliance programs
Certifications:
PMP preferred
Agile / SAFe experience helpful
Security exposure (CISSP familiarity or equivalent environment experience) a plus
