POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a strategic Registered Nurse (RN) leader to direct Surgical Services operations and advance perioperative excellence. The Director will oversee departmental goals patient care delivery and staffing while aligning clinical practice with quality safety and financial performance targets. This role requires a leader who fosters a culture of accountability engagement and patient-centered care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Departmental Oversight: Develop and implement departmental goals plans and standards consistent with clinical legal and ethical requirements.

Operations Management: Direct patient care delivery information technologies and service level determinations. Coordinate internal/external audits with the Quality Leader.

Staffing & Mentorship: Lead hiring orientation evaluations and continuing education initiatives. Foster an environment for professional growth and development.

Financial Accountability: Prepare and monitor departmental budgets to ensure compliance with allocated funding.

Clinical Integration: Integrate evidence-based practices into clinical protocols and assume hands-on roles (OR Circulator or PACU RN) as needed to support the unit.

Quality Metrics: Drive surgical quality metrics and identify areas for process improvement.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g. HIPAA) and organizational policies.
REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.

Licensure: Current State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

Certifications: * Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Experience: Extensive experience in directing Surgical Services or Perioperative operations. 1 year of leadership experience preferred.

Skills: Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory/compliance and Business Office Standards for surgical departments.
