Shift: Days (0700-1530) no weekends
Job Summary / Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant / Financial Analyst to perform a wide variety of accounting functions including general ledger maintenance account reconciliations financial reporting fixed asset accounting budgeting and ad-hoc financial analysis. This role supports internal stakeholders regulatory agencies and auditors by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while contributing to overall organizational financial performance.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work model with required in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Professional office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare maintain and monitor financial and productivity reports for regulatory agencies auditors and internal leadership.
- Perform general ledger maintenance journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy of monthly quarterly and annual reporting.
- Assist with internal and external financial reporting requirements.
- Manage fixed asset accounting depreciation schedules and asset tracking.
- Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis processes.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare reports as requested by leadership.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiency initiatives.
- Utilize accounting systems spreadsheets and financial software to manage reporting functions.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- College-level coursework in Accounting or related field required.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Accounting preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of full-scope accounting experience for a business required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting may substitute for required experience.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with computers required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook) preferred.
- Strong spreadsheet and financial reporting skills preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
