Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyperson Certificate (Red Seal Interprovincial preferred)
- 5 years of machining experience
- Experience with manual programming and CAM software (Mastercam)
- Ability to run both CNC and Manual machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Collaborative team player with positive engagement
- Strong organizational and communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
Machine Setup & Operation
- Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
- Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
Quality Control
- Reviews drawings instructions blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Monitors production adjusts feed and other settings as necessary.
- Checks output for quality assurance and documents defects.
Maintenance
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area.
- Promotes and enforces a safety-first culture ensuring compliance with safety policies and conducting regular briefings.
Documentation
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Ensures accurate documentation of production quality and safety records.
