The Financial Reporting and Planning team is responsible for ensuring the organisation has robust financial management arrangements whilst ensuring value for money for the taxpayer. The team also plays a key role in the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts. As a B2 Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for the provision of regular financial management advice and support to non-finance staff and play a lead role in the Annual Report and Accounts Audit.
You will play a key role in supporting monthly forecasting information and supporting our key stakeholders spending plans and reporting these results using the new Oracle finance system (ERP). You will improve the financial capabilities of the organisation through engaging with stakeholders and developing and delivering tailored training across the organisation.

- Deliver robust monthend financial analysis across cost centres and divisions including reviewing and challenging forecasts and management information.
- Produce and maintain highquality financial management information and finance reports for monthly budget holder meetings to support effective review scrutiny and challenge of financial performance against approved budgets.
- Provide expert support and guidance to Oracle Finance and PurchasetoPay users including the raising of Purchase Orders invoice receipting and ensuring the prompt and accurate payment of invoices.
- Respond to Scottish Government commissions and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests often within extremely challenging timescales ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead assigned Annual Report and Accounts tasks contributing to the successful delivery of the external audit and yearend accounts process.
- Authorise monthly ePC transactions and produce Payment Performance reports working closely with Procurement colleagues to monitor control and optimise ePC expenditure.
- Undertake line management responsibilities providing leadership support and development to Finance Officers and promoting a positive inclusive and highperforming working environment within the Financial Reporting and Planning Branch.

Candidates should either demonstrate equivalent financial experience or be studying towards a CCAB professional accountancy qualification.

Working Pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices.
