Sternberg Automotive Group is seeking a motivated and hardworking Diesel Service Technician Apprentice to join our team in Evansville IN. This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in diesel engine maintenance and repair while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines transmissions and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes filter replacements and inspections.
• Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company and OSHA safety standards.
• Complete training programs and apprenticeship requirements as assigned.
• Support the service team in delivering excellent customer service and communication.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Basic understanding of diesel engines and electrical systems is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Reliable transportation to and from our Evansville IN location.
