What the role looks like

Youll set up and lead our Paris office from day one getting it running building a team and shaping a culture that feels like us.

Youll play a hands-on role in shaping our France offering from the ground up; building itinerary content and curating local experiences for our guests.

This is an in-office role. Close collaboration with your team is a big part of how we work.

France is new territory for Nordic Visitor. Your knowledge of the destination its regions suppliers and hidden gems will feed directly into the product we build for travellers coming in from outside Europe.

At its core this is a people and operations role. Youll manage and grow your team drive sales keep the office running smoothly and work closely with peer managers across our five European offices.

The first year involves a lot of groundwork: building supplier relationships from scratch and establishing credibility before volume follows. Were looking for a patient builder not just a quick seller.

Before the Paris office opens youll spend a few months at our headquarters in Reykjavík learning the Nordic Visitor way from the inside. Hands-on immersive and a pretty good way to start a new job. Were aiming for fall 2026.

What were looking for

  • Proven track record in tourism sales with previous management experience
  • Experience building supplier or partner relationships ideally in a new market
  • Deep knowledge of France as a destination its regions culture and what todays travellers are looking for
  • Strong English and French (spoken and written); other languages are a bonus
  • A natural leader who sets clear expectations listens well and builds a culture people want to be part of
  • Calm when things get complicated and energised by a broad role rather than daunted by one

What youll be responsible for

Your team

Recruiting onboarding and developing the Paris team. Coaching for growth not just task completion.

Sales and performance

Setting and hitting targets. Keeping the team focused and aligned with company strategy.

The Paris office

Getting the office up and running and keeping it that way. Managing invoices local payroll coordination employment contracts and making sure our French operations meet local employment law and GDPR requirements.

Supplier relationships

Building the local partnerships that make our France product worth selling. Youll be the face of Nordic Visitor to French partners.

Cross-company collaboration

Working closely with teams in Iceland the UK Scandinavia Germany and Italy. One company. Paris is part of the family from day one.
