The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit focusing on monitoring assessment and treatment of adult patients. This role requires strong clinical skills experience with telemetry monitoring and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to Med Surg and Telemetry patients.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes.
Administer medications IV therapies and treatments as prescribed.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Schedule & Work Environment
Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
Full-time schedule (3 shifts per week)
Acute care hospital setting
No block scheduling
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Active RN license (state-specific or compact required at submission)
Minimum 18 months of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
Must have prior permanent (non-travel) MS/Tele experience
Recent (within last 6 months) experience with Epic Systems
Certifications required:
BLS from American Heart Association
ACLS from American Heart Association
