Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit focusing on monitoring assessment and treatment of adult patients. This role requires strong clinical skills experience with telemetry monitoring and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med Surg and Telemetry patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes.
- Administer medications IV therapies and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
- Full-time schedule (3 shifts per week)
- Acute care hospital setting
- No block scheduling
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact required at submission)
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
- Must have prior permanent (non-travel) MS/Tele experience
- Recent (within last 6 months) experience with Epic Systems
- Certifications required:
- BLS from American Heart Association
- ACLS from American Heart Association
