We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry to join our healthcare team in Louisville KY. The Telemetry RN will be responsible for monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and other critical illnesses utilizing advanced equipment to track vital signs and ensure timely intervention. This role requires strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
- Assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions treatments and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies
- Provide compassionate support to patients and their families
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky (or compact state license)
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum of 12 years of telemetry or acute care experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required within a specified timeframe
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
Work Environment:
- Hospital or acute care setting
- Rotating shifts including nights weekends and holidays as needed
- Exposure to medical equipment and potentially infectious diseases
