We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Hanwell London working within a specialist SEND provision. This is a rewarding role supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a structured small-group setting.
Location: Hanwell London (W7)
Hours: 8:30am 3:30pm (typical school hours)
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Start: September (with potential earlier trial/induction)
About the Role
You will be working with a small group of 5 children aged 57 (Early Years / KS1) all of whom have EHCPs and varying levels of ASD. This is not a general TA role you will be based primarily in a specialist provision within the school supporting children who are not able to access the mainstream classroom full-time.
Your day-to-day will include:
Supporting children in a structured small-group learning environment
Assisting with and delivering adapted curriculum activities
Helping children achieve their EHCP targets and outcomes
Supporting communication emotional regulation and behaviour
Encouraging learning readiness and independence
Supporting gradual integration into mainstream classes where appropriate
