Job Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides advanced respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in a critical care environment. This role requires strong clinical expertise in ventilator management airway support and respiratory therapies within high-acuity settings.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver respiratory therapy treatments to adult and geriatric patients.
Manage ventilators including setup monitoring troubleshooting and weaning.
Perform airway management procedures such as extubation suctioning and tracheostomy care.
Administer respiratory medications via various delivery systems (nebulizers inhalers aerosol setups).
Provide oxygen therapy including high-flow nasal cannula and trach collar systems.
Monitor patient response and adjust treatments accordingly.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams in critical care settings.
Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems.
Schedule & Work Environment
Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
Full-time schedule (3 shifts per week)
Every other weekend required
No block scheduling
Floating may be required based on facility needs

Required Qualifications
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license (state-specific required at submission)
Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
Trauma Level I experience required
Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic Systems
Certifications required:
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Required Clinical Skills
Adult critical care respiratory support
Ventilator management and weaning
Airway management (extubation tracheostomy care suctioning)
Medication administration including bronchodilators steroids and aerosol therapies
Nebulizer systems (handheld T-piece trach collar)
