Job Summary

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Group HR Executive to lead and drive the Human Resources strategy across a fast-paced FMCG environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational execution capability particularly in Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) as well as proven experience in union engagement and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with business objectives
Lead and manage all Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) functions across the group
Act as the primary liaison with trade unions including leading wage negotiations dispute resolution and collective bargaining processes
Ensure compliance with all relevant labour legislation and HR best practices
Provide strategic HR guidance to executive leadership and business units
Oversee disciplinary processes grievance handling and CCMA cases
Drive organisational development workforce planning and talent management initiatives
Manage HR policies procedures and transformation initiatives
Lead and mentor the HR team across multiple sites

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in human resources / industrial psychology / related field (Masters degree advantageous)
Minimum 810 years HR experience with at least 5 years at senior/executive level
Must have: FMCG industry experience
Proven track record in union negotiations and collective bargaining
Strong experience in ER/IR including handling complex disciplinary matters and CCMA cases
In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation
Strong leadership negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to operate in a high-pressure fast-paced environment
