Division: Operations ATCO Energy Systems (ATCO Electric)
Join our team as a Communications Technologist Entry supporting the installation commissioning maintenance and troubleshooting of critical communications systems (RF mobile radio IP networks fibre optics and cabling). Working alongside experienced technologists youll help keep radio sites operating reliably by completing testing repairs and clear documentation in accordance with company procedures and applicable codes.

What You Get to Do:
Install commission maintain and troubleshoot communications systems and related site equipment.
Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and support continuous improvement of maintenance practices.
Configure and verify IP network equipment; build and install telecom panels and AC/DC electrical systems as required.
Plan track and document work in Maximo including required administrative and construction records (e.g. as-builts).
Follow safe work practices complete required training/certifications and care for vehicles tools and test equipment.
Field work with exposure to the elements noise dust and electrical hazards.
Travel to remote areas with overnights is required.
Working alone may be required.
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical diploma/certificate in a related discipline from a recognized institute of technology.
Valid Class 5 drivers license.
Comfortable with computers and basic IP networking concepts.
Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong organization and planning skills.
