Job Summary
PPS is seeking a CWI Certified Quality Manager for our fabrication facilities in Phoenix. The QM will be charged with overseeing all quality processes. This is a permanent direct hire role with excellent benefits and room for advancement!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all quality control processes related to steel and pipe fabrication.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes standards and customer specifications (e.g. ASME AWS API).
- Lead internal audits and implement corrective actions to maintain quality assurance systems.
- Review and approve material test reports welding procedures and fabrication records.
- Interface with project managers welders fitters and customers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain and enforce documentation of inspection reports and quality-related records.
- Train and mentor shop personnel in quality best practices and visual/weld inspection standards.
- Participate in third-party audits and customer inspections.
- Monitor and continuously improve quality control metrics and shop performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- CWI certification required
- 5 years in leadership positions
- 10 years of manufacturing/industrial/fab experience
- High-end fab background required
