Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services has an opening for a Journeyman Electrician in Alexandria Virginia.
This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8am -4pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation maintenance or repair of equipment for the generation distribution or utilization of electric energy.
Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators transformers switchboards controllers circuit breakers motors heating units conduit systems or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints drawings layouts or other specifications locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment and working standard computations.
Perform tasks that support the electrical infrastructure distribution system.
Install raceways and associated wires.
Provide technical support to engineering staff.
Troubleshoot electrical problems.
Replace/repair outdated electrical devices.
Perform electrical portion of build outs.
Perform other maintenance tasks and assist all trades as directed by his Supervisor and Lead.
Qualifications
Must hold at least a Journeymen Electrical license.
Six (6) or more years of experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to: Generators Transformers Switchboards Controllers Circuit breakers Motors Heating units Conduit systems and Electrical Distribution System Lutron lighting systems.
Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints schematics and specifications.
Be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Building Facility and Structural Systems.
Must have or be able to obtain Top Secret clearance.
