Overview
The Alumni Engagement team at Macalester College is seeking a temporary Reunion Project Manager to provide project management and coordination support for Reunion; keeps planning on track; communicates and aligns staff and campus partners needs/expectations; and ensures events communications and logistics are executed smoothly.
This position is Temporary 10-week position full time 38.75 hours with some hybrid availability with business hours typically from 8:30am-4:30pm. There will be some evenings and weekends including the need to work Reunion weekend June 4-7 2026.
This position will begin as soon as possible and end June 30th 2026. Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check is required.

Macalesters Alumni Engagement team creates compelling opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and the college. We value collaboration communication time-management skills and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management support for Reunion planning and execution including maintaining timelines tracking progress and ensuring key milestones are met
- Serve as a central coordinator and liaison across Alumni Engagement staff and campus partners to gather information align efforts and ensure clear communication
- Coordinate program and event information ensuring details are organized accurate and implemented effectively
- Co-lead communications and documentation including managing and updating planning materials coordinating messaging and keeping shared resources up to date
- Oversee logistics and operations ensuring event needs materials and spaces are prepared and executed smoothly
- Support volunteer and student staffing coordination insuring alignment training and overall readiness for Reunion
- Other Responsibilities: Completes other responsibilities as assigned. Participates as an active member of the team. Participates in department and college activities and supports implementation of shared goals and initiatives. Provides backup support to other members of the team.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of project management experience.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills; ability to juggle multiple projects/events simultaneously.
- Ability to use databases and all forms of electronic communications.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time in a busy demanding environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Google Business Suite fundraising software social media platforms and broadcast emails.
- Experience with volunteers and higher education is helpful.
- Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for campus events and board meetings.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position will be $27.50.
