Job Summary
Job Summary:
The purpose of the Twisting & Heatset Maintenance Tech to repair and maintain Twisting and Heatset equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow all Safety Plant & Quality Guidelines
- Operate and fill in unoccupied jobs when needed.
- Repair and maintain Twisting and Heatset equipment.
- Assist in lot changes in Twisting and Heatset as they occur.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Lifting 1 to 75 pounds is required for tools parts and equipment periodically during shift.
- Standing as required periodically as needed throughout shift approximately 6 hours per shift.
- Stooping as required periodically as needed throughout shift.
- Bending as required periodically for machine repair and lot changes throughout shift.
- Reaching is required for machine repair and lot changes periodically throughout shift.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.
- Repetitive hand motions 3 out of 8 hours using wrenches snips scissors and hand tools.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and write and do basic addition subtraction division and multiplication.
- Must be computer trainable (data entry).
- Must have previous twisting and heat set maintenance experience on continuous autoclave and direct cable twisters.
Other Requirements:
- Overtime is required on occasion.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- All accidents must be reported immediately.
