Lead CAD Engineer – Chassis

Aston Martin is seeking a Lead CAD Engineer Chassis to support the design and integration of braking systems wheel assemblies and tyre interfaces across our vehicle programmes.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality 3D CAD models and 2D drawings ensuring robust packaging and integration within the vehicle architecture from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design of brake wheel and tyre components (discs callipers hubs hoses fasteners wheels)
• Ensure effective packaging considering kinematics thermal manufacturing and styling constraints
• Support concept to production delivery including design reviews and engineering sign-off
• Apply DFM/DFA GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Maintain CAD data quality standards and configuration control
• Collaborate cross-functionally and integrate supplier CAD data
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and support high-quality drawing output

About You

• Experience in automotive chassis CAD ideally brakes wheels and tyres
• Proficient in Siemens NX (or similar)
• Strong understanding of packaging integration and vehicle systems
• Knowledge of GD&T tolerance analysis and lifecycle delivery (concept to SOP)
• Experience working with suppliers and CAD data management
• Exposure to suspension kinematics is desirable
