Commissioning Engineer Renewable Gas
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with strong Renewable Gas (RG) expertise to support commissioning activities on our Tambowie Renewable Gas project.
Role Overview
As a Commissioning Engineer you will play a key role in delivering commissioning activities across Renewable Gas plants ensuring systems are safely efficiently and compliantly brought into operation in line with project specifications contractual requirements and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning activities across mechanical electrical and process systems on Renewable Gas projects
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure safe compliant and timely execution of works
- Monitor progress identify risks or technical issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Prepare and manage commissioning documentation including test protocols punch lists and handover dossiers
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with HSE policies project requirements and legal regulations

Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer on Renewable Gas or AD (Anaerobic Digestion) plants
- Strong practical understanding of process systems gas upgrading utilities and balance of plant
- Experience working on complex construction and commissioning projects
- Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g. SMSTS / IOSH / NEBOSH) and hazardous area certification (e.g. CompEx) advantageous
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across projects
Skills & Competencies
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues
- Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Good knowledge of P&IDs electrical drawings DCS systems and commissioning processes
- Effective communication skills; additional languages (e.g. German) are advantageous
- Proactive adaptable and capable of managing subcontractors and site activities
