Job Summary
First impressions are everything! As a Spa Reception Agent with The Fairmont Spa you have the opportunity to provide a welcome experience like no other. Your personalized greeting care in treatment selection and knowledge of the spa will ensure our guests have a lasting memory of their visit.
Starting Rate: $19.18
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $24.65
We have both Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available. This position is not eligible for Staff Accomodations.
Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Front Desk Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Guest Experience
- Warmly greet all guests entering and exiting the hotel lobby.
- Recognize VIPs repeat guests and loyalty program members and provide personalized attention.
- Escort guests to the front desk concierge restaurants or other hotel outlets as appropriate.
- Proactively engage with guests to anticipate needs and resolve requests efficiently.
- Ensure guests feel acknowledged within moments of entering the lobby.
- Actively seek to create Make special happen moments
Lobby Presence & Hospitality
- Maintain a visible and welcoming presence in the lobby area at all times.
- Monitor lobby activity and guest flow to ensure a smooth arrival and departure experience.
- Provide information about hotel services amenities dining options and local attractions.
- Assist with special occasions such as anniversaries celebrations or VIP arrivals.
- The role involves physical activity including standing for extended periods bending and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability and willingness to work a variety of shift work including evenings/weekends/early morning
- Previous experience in Front Desk or customer service an asset
- Proficient in the English language (verbal & written) second language an asset
- Must display strong communication analytical organizational and administrative skills to be able to deal with multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
