Class 1 Truck driver

We are looking for a qualified and professional Class1 Driver to join our transportation team at our Amos site from Monday to Friday from 6:00a.m. to 2:30p.m. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from customer sites and other AIM facilities.

What You Are Responsible For:

• Driving and maneuvering heavy vehicles such as:

1. 4axle rolloff trucks
2. 12wheel rolloff
3. 12wheel lugger
4. 4axle carcass truck
5. Bitrain carcass
6. 4axle dump truck
7. 4axle flatbed
8. 4axle walking floor
9. 4axle livebottom (conveyor trailer)

• Operating a Class1 utility vehicle to transport metal materials while ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and company policies
• Performing routine pretrip and posttrip inspections of the truck ensuring it is in good working condition
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck when required using appropriate equipment and securing the load to prevent shifting or damage during transport
• Completing accurate and complete delivery logs and any other required documentation
• Providing quality customer service

Qualifications :

To join our team:

• You hold a valid Class1 drivers licence with FM endorsement and a good driving record
• You have experience driving manual transmission vehicles
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class1 driver
• You are customerservice oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You have good physical endurance and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as required
• You have good knowledge of metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
• You have experience with dump trucks and/or rolloff trucks (an asset)
• You are in good physical condition and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
• You have strong customer service skills
• You are punctual reliable and respectful of equipment
