Vice Principal PYP Coordinator (One Year Contract) ESF Quarry Bay School Kindergarten
Job Summary
ESF Quarry Bay School Kindergarten (QBSK) is seeking a visionary Vice Principal to join our founding leadership team. Working in close partnership with the QBSK Head of School and the experienced leadership team at Quarry Bay Primary School the successful candidate will help establish the foundational pedagogical and operational framework of this new kindergarten. We are looking for an educator who views the Early Years philosophy and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) as the bedrock of all school operations and community interactions.
In this role you will lead the implementation and strategic development of the PYP ensuring absolute alignment with IB standards and best practices in early childhood education. You will be responsible for translating our collective vision into a world-class environment for children aged 35 years where inquiry and innovation are woven into the fabric of daily life. Your leadership will ensure that our mission is clearly articulated consistently modelled and reflected in every aspect of the schools atmosphere.
This will be a one year contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and strategic development of the IB Primary Years Programme ensuring alignment with IB standards and Early Years philosophy.
- In partnership with the Head of Student Support at the primary level direct the schools Learning Diversity framework overseeing the identification of student needs and ensuring that inclusive practices and differentiated instruction are embedded within the PYP curriculum.
- Partner with the Head of School and the Quarry Bay School community to define the schools identity values and community ethos.
- Uphold high-quality teaching and learning standards through robust evaluation and feedback practices.
- Collaborate with teachers to create innovative instructional strategies that drive student engagement.
- Mentor and inspire a diverse team of educators fostering a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration and innovation.
- Deliver high-impact workshops and ongoing professional development that empowers educators to innovate.
- Serve as a primary ambassador to families building strong trusting partnerships that define the QBSK reputation.
- Oversee daily operations ensuring a safe efficient and inspiring environment that supports the schools long-term sustainability.
- Articulate a clear strategic vision for the school and create the conditions for achieving our collective goals.

Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Early Years Education (or equivalent) suitable for teaching children aged 35 years.
- Deep comprehensive knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Proven experience in Learning Diversity Coordination with the ability to lead inclusive practices and support student wellbeing.
- Proven leadership experience in motivating diverse teams and navigating the development of new educational initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
Desirable
- Direct experience leading a school through the IB PYP candidacy and authorisation process.
- Experience in formal coaching and mentoring (e.g. Cognitive Coaching or similar).
