Job Purpose and Impact
The Quality Control Technician II (Day Analyst) supports daytoday Quality Control laboratory operations ensuring analytical testing equipment reliability and data integrity meet site customer and regulatory requirements. The role is focused on providing consistent laboratory support during normal working hours working closely with the wider PSQR and Production teams.
The position plays a key role in maintaining laboratory capability through routine testing product retesting instrument calibration and maintenance activities contributing to stable operations effective investigations and continuous improvement within the Quality Control function.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out routine and nonroutine analytical testing of raw materials inprocess samples and finished products in accordance with approved methods and specifications.
- Perform product retests and verification testing to support investigations deviations and quality decisionmaking.
- Prepare samples accurately including weighing measuring and conditioning following standard laboratory procedures.
- Operate laboratory and analytical instruments (e.g. GC balances titration and physical testing equipment) in a safe and compliant manner.
- Take ownership of routine calibration verification and performance checks of laboratory instruments in line with schedules and procedures.
- Perform firstline maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment escalating issues where required to ensure continued laboratory availability.
- Support laboratory housekeeping reagent preparation and consumables management to maintain efficient daytoday operations.
- Accurately record analytical results observations and activities in SAP LIMS or laboratory records ensuring data integrity and traceability.
- Work collaboratively with QC colleagues and Production teams to support investigations process control activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety food safety and Quality Management System requirements at all times.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a laboratory environment (industrial chemical food or related field).
- Understanding of basic analytical chemistry and quality control principles.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a structured daybased laboratory environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to Health Safety and quality standards.
