DevOps Engineer

About the role:

The DevOps Engineer will design build and operate reliable CI/CD platforms and automation across a hybrid environment of containerisedand VM-based workloads. The role focuses on Jenkins-centric CI configurationautomation code quality integration enabling fast stable and secure delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on Jenkins.
• Operate and improve shared CI platforms used by multiple developmentteams.
• Automate system configuration and build environments using Ansible.
• Integrate code quality security and compliance tooling into CI pipelines.
• Manage and optimise build agents across Kubernetes and standalone VMenvironments.
• Partner with software engineers to improve build reliability performanceand developer experience.
• Troubleshoot complex CI infrastructure and automation issues.
• Document platforms pipelines and operational runbooks.

Requirements:

• Experience using Ansible for configuration management and automation
• Authoring and maintaining playbooks roles and inventories
• Integrating Ansible automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins-triggered runs)
• Proficiency in scripting
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage infrastructure
• (Terraform)
• Containerization using Docker and/or Podman
• Managing container images registries and build processes
• Strong problem solving and debugging mindset
• Ability to work across different platforms
• Clear written documentation and communication
• Comfortable owning platforms end-to-end
• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Software Engineering
• Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline.
