Job Summary

Summary:A Field Service Technician PRV III will be skilled and understand the purpose and principles of operatingpressure relief valves. This role is responsible for installation connection servicing testingadjustment repair maintenance removal troubleshooting inspection and replacement of safety andrelief :All additional job responsibilities of a Field Service Technician - PRV I & IISupport Field Service Technician PRV I & II employees through mentoring and on-the-job (OJT) trainingPerform final quality inspection of valve and equipmentInterpret test reportsPotentially assume role as Field SupervisorExtensive Knowledge of applicable code requirementsFundamental selling skillsPositional Requirements & Qualifications:Education & ExperienceHS Education or GED Equivalent a plus5 or more years of industry experienceSkills & AbilitiesMeets all Pressure Relief Valve Technician I & II qualifications and requirementsProficient in Pressure Relief Valve Technician I & II responsibilitiesSuccessful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresCompleted Green Tag Certification through Level IIICompleted QC/CI assessmentSuccessful completion of Pressure Relief Valve Level III Written and Performance TestsMinimum of 3 to 5 years pressure relief valve experienceExperienced trainer of Pressure Relief Valve Technicians Level I & IIWorking knowledge and proficiency of leading manufacturer safety/pressure relief and pilot operated pressure relief valve linesProficient in use of lathe in order to perform basic machining on nozzles discs and spring washersBasic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC only if required)Ability to manage multiple tasksAbility to manage peopleExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated can do attitude and excellent customer service skillsCustomer driven/focusedTeam oriented and willing to lead othersHigh energy detail orientedAbility to read and interpret documents such as master schedule safety rules operating instructions drawings/prints and procedure manualsSound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are detectedAbility to work independently and/or in team assignmentsStrong safety record and knowledge of safety rules and practicesAbility and willingness to work overtime as needed to support customer requirements and seasonal business volumeStrong history of dependability and reliabilitySupervision:Works mostly autonomously with little supervisionMust be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to Setpoint IS driving guidelinesClear background check and drug/alcohol screeningEssential Physical Functions:Lifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directionsLift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending stooping walking and climbing stairsAscending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding rampsMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesRemaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationRepeating motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingersOperating machinery and/or power toolsOperating motor vehicles or heavy equipmentAssessing the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assignedRequired physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirementsAble to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
