Become part of our Constructor Community and at the earliest possible date join our Facility and Energy Management team in the north of Bremen on a full-time basis as

Head of Facility & Energy Management (m/f/d)

(full time; 38.5 hrs./week)

As Head of Facility & Energy Management you ensure that our infrastructure is not only safe and cost-effective but also enables great work collaboration and daily experiences for employees students and guests.


Your responsibilities:


Professional Duties

  • Define and execute the strategy for Facility and Energy Management

  • Oversee technical commercial and infrastructural facility operations

  • Plan and manage construction renovation and expansion projects

  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-efficient use of resources

  • Ensure reliable daily operations and smooth process execution

  • Lead project and construction meetings

  • Manage warranty claims and ensure quality standards

  • Manage external service providers for cleaning and catering and ensure service quality and contract performance

  • Take ownership of office management and room allocation

  • Lead space management and ensure effective use of campus facilities

  • Establish and manage inventory systems and asset transparency

  • Drive sustainability and energy management initiatives

  • Ensure effective on-call duty coverage for facility operations guaranteeing timely response to technical faults and infrastructure issues

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Facility and Energy Management department

  • Define goals and ensure consistent execution

  • Manage coach and develop team members

  • Build a strong and accountable team culture

  • Ensure succession planning

  • Partner with HR on hiring development and employee matters

  • Act as key contact for internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Align facility space and service strategies with organizational needs


Your qualifications:

  • Completed degree or equivalent professional qualification in electrical engineering facility management or a comparable technical field

  • Strong technical expertise in building systems infrastructure and facility operations

  • Solid understanding of commercial aspects including budgeting cost control and contract management

  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners

  • Strong German and English language skills both written and spoken

  • Confident handling of standard digital tools and systems
