Aerojet Rocketdyne an L3Harris Technologies Company is seekinganAssociate Materials and Process Engineer (Chemistry lab)to join our growing facility inCamden Arkansas.
Performs a variety of duties in the mechanical and chemistry areas of the laboratory. Constructs troubleshoots calibrates adjusts tests diagnoses and maintains laboratory test instrumentation. Works from specifications operating manuals engineering drawings and written material test instructions. Works with complex test instrumentation and computer systems. Operates related test instrumentation conducts routine and complex testing and reports data in prescribed format. Operates as a bench chemist conducting analyses per prescribed test methods. This is an Entry-Level position.
Essential Functions:
- Handle process and mix chemicals in a laboratory setting.
- Sample and test raw materials propellants and explosives.
- Prepare and collect raw test data.
- Perform complex mathematical calculations.
- Clean assemble and dismantle test hardware equipment and laboratory apparatus.
- Perform laboratory support work such as instrument calibration cleaning inventory inspections and material handling.
- Generate test reports for completed analyses.
- Review and submit lab documentation for changes including test and calibration procedures.
Qualifications:
- To be eligible applicants must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field or have completed their Bachelors degree within the last 12 months regardless of age.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of testing explosives and energetic materials a plus.
