Job Summary
Automotive Internet Sales Manager
We are seeking a results-driven Automotive Internet Sales Manager to lead and grow our dealerships online sales operations. This role is responsible for managing digital leads optimizing the customer experience and driving internet sales performance from first contact to showroom appointment and beyond.
The ideal candidate is highly organized tech-savvy and passionate about converting online opportunities into measurable sales results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming internet leads (website third-party platforms social media and email)
- Respond to customer inquiries quickly professionally and effectively
- Set confirm and manage appointments to maximize showroom traffic
- Lead train and motivate the internet sales team (if applicable)
- Monitor CRM activity to ensure proper follow-up and lead handling
- Track and improve conversion rates (lead-to-appointment appointment-to-sale)
- Work closely with sales managers and BDC to align strategies
- Maintain accurate customer records and reporting within CRM
- Develop and execute digital sales strategies to increase lead volume and closing ratios
- Ensure a top-tier online customer experience that reflects dealership standards
Qualifications
- Previous automotive sales or internet sales management experience
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems and digital lead platforms
- Excellent communication skills (phone email text)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced performance-driven environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with tools like DealerSocket VinSolutions or similar CRMs
- Understanding of digital marketing (SEO paid ads lead generation)
- Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies accordingly
- Strong closing skills and objection handling
