The Service Center Representative at Meyer Plastics Inc is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and operational support within a plastics distribution or manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding orders product inquiries and service issues
- Process sales orders accurately including pricing product specifications and delivery requirements
- Coordinate with warehouse production and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment planning
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions orders and transactions
- Provide product information including types of plastics grades and applications
- Support inside sales efforts by identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred)
- 13 years of customer service or inside sales experience preferably in manufacturing or plastics
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/order management systems
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of plastic materials and industrial products is a plus
