Job Summary
Job Title: 1st Class Structural Welder
Location: Houma LA
Schedule: Night Shift Full-Time
Summary:
Seeking an experienced structural welder to perform high-quality welding on steel structures. Must read blueprints follow safety standards and produce code-quality welds.
Must-Haves:
- 3 years structural welding experience
- SMAW & FCAW proficiency
- Blueprint and weld symbol reading
- Carbon steel experience
- Pass weld test (6G or similar)
- Strong safety practices
Preferred:
- Shipyard/offshore or industrial experience
- AWS certifications
- MIG/TIG experience
- Fitting/fabrication skills
Interview Questions:
- What welding processes are you strongest in
- How do you read weld symbols on prints
- Describe fixing a bad weld.
- How do you ensure quality
- Experience in fast-paced work
- What safety steps do you follow
- Are you able to work night shifts consistently
